You would also use your attention to detail to prepare the necessary shipping labels and forms including accurate entry of orders into UPS WorldShip, international forms, and bills of lading for freight shipments. It will be your responsibility to cart the completed packages to our pickup driver at a scheduled time each day.

Additional responsibilities include: handle inventory of shipping supplies, check in and unpack deliveries of packing materials,  move heavy pallets of glassware to and from our storage, and move 2,000 lb. pallets of wax. You must be capable of loading and unloading pallet size orders onto freight trucks at our dock, be able to handle a pallet jack, and have patience in dealing with several different freight company deliveries. You also must be able to lift 50 pounds and upwards several times a day on a daily basis and be able to stand on your feet for extended periods of time.

You will also provide Candle Production Assembly on a daily basis each afternoon, which will involve wick preparation, setting up glassware, labeling and cleaning finished candles, assembling handcrafted packaging carefully, which involves folding and pleating paper, assembling boxes, putting labels on boxes, and case-packing product and getting it on the shelf for our wholesale customers. You will keep the studio stocked with materials, break down boxes for recycling, and clean and organize the studio at the end of the day. Your handcrafting skills will be crucial as the candle making process is integral to a quality product output. We need someone who can maintain focus, skill, and speed to help us maintain our output goals. There will also be weekly cleaning and maintenance of shared office and kitchen areas.

As you will be working in a candle studio you must be able to tolerate a fragranced environment.
